Conference Logo

The logo of IFCC Worldlab 2014 is colored with the landmarks of Istanbul.

The silhouette of the Old City and Topkapı Palace rises at the entrance of the Bosphorus (at the left), from where Ottoman Empire ruled spanning 3 continents. The old city and palaces represent the “wealth and glory” of Istanbul, which we’d like to pass on to our guests.

Galata Tower (on the right) represents “enthusiasm and devotion”. Being over 1.500 years old; the tower witnesses the first flying man; Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi who flew over Bosphorus from the Galata Tower on the European side to Uskudar on the Asian side in 1638.

The Bosphorus Bridge; being the most “fun to pass” bridge in the world not only has a magnificent view but the notion of passing one continent to another makes your heart stop for a moment. The ride represents Istanbul’s maybe the most important sentimental value; “connecting continents – connecting cultures”. We hope to unite our valued community once again; from east to west through the Bosphorus Bridge!

We are “reflecting” our wealth and glory with enthusiasm and devotion, so our community can become one.
